I've felt connected to Tallahassee for the 10 years I have lived here, and serving its community brings me great joy. I love being a nurse, mom to 9 year old Forrest and 4 year old Iris, and partner to Shawn.
We're an amusement park and fast rollercoaster family, with the 2 youngest leading the charge (they are fearless)! If we aren't testing our adrenaline, we're taking in the vistas of the mountains and spending time outdoors, hiking, exploring and cheering on my son's little league and basketball teams. We love each other, we love the Lord and we love our community.
When I have downtime, you can find me gardening, watching home, garden and cooking shows and refinishing furniture. I'm also an avid reader who loves a good mystery.
I've worked as an APRN in Tallahassee for both local hospitals (Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and HCA Florida Capital Hospital). I gained acute and urgent care experience working for Duke University Health Systems in Durham, NC. I also worked for larger health systems in South Florida - Cleveland Clinic, in Vero Beach, FL and the Health First hospital systems in Brevard County.
My love and respect for the elderly population was nurtured at a very young age as I watched my mom care for our grandfather in our home. It was here that I learned what competent, compassionate care was truly all about and I've been inspired to make it my life's work ever since.
